The Midnight is open still. It has new owners and management. The bar is fully stocked and there are events (like Sundays Arts and Drafts). It's a nice calm place to hang out, with lots of cool people, and great if you want to distress after work or school. Parking is validated via a QR code, for 4 hours and you can re-validate. Or use GRU's lot on the weekends and after 6 pm. They have craft beers, bottles, cans, wine (red and white), mimosas, ciders, the whitecap and nutrals, and some non-alcoholic drinks like soda, original sin's white non-alcoholic drink that is more like a carbonated tonic. Plus they have hotdogs, sandwiches, Mac and cheese (top tier), and chili (you can mix the 2).

Nice little surprise tucked away in a quiet area. Managed to arrive after the comedy show crowd was gone, so there was just one other person. Nice, 'that one cool friends basement' feel to it; no corporate blandness to be felt. The chili Mac and cheese that was recommended tasted great and was very filling. Good music and friendly staff rounded out a great experience! Definitely will make it a stop when we make it back!

One of my favorite places in Gainesville to have a laid-back weekend night. Good fun, friends, and drinks. Friendly service and excellent events that vary from karaoke to horror movie nights. Killer Nachos. Truly my own personal 'Cheers'.

The staff, Erin, and the atmosphere was just needed. Where you can speak to the bar tender and have her be able to flow between conversation or hold one..along with good beer and quiet place..that's unique in and of itself.

Nice bar to hang up with friends. Friendly staff and people in general. International nights are great to meet new people. They have cheap beer as well as not-so-cheap ones. I would suggest to play more music inside.

Very friendly atmosphere. The place is very good for making new friends, and the beer is cheap so the place is very good! They have a night for Internationals, every Thursday, it's a good opportunity to practice new languages!

It was after ten and we wanted something fun to do and something to eat. The Midnight Underground was the perfect choice! There were many games to choose from for a chill night out. We ended up distracted by the food that was better than we were expecting! The chili was so good that we all had it in some form! The chili cheese dog, and the nachos were the group favorite

We went here after visiting an art gallery and loved the atmosphere. The owner was there and really kind, the food was tasty too! Being and to sit and visit with friends while we eat and have a drink was great, being able to play board games made it even better - and it's in a good location. Definitely give this spot a try! Where we parked was paid parking but it was a reasonable price!
